Hey guys. This is my first time posting. :]

I own an Asus W90VP-X1 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...) & I seem to be having an issue with one of my two graphics cards as seen here (http://i.imgur.com/5ZFTx.jpg).

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

I uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers to no avail. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be a hardware issue? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Is this a new problem or an on-going one? How are your temps running?

@COLGeek

I've just recently noticed it, but for all I know, it may have been happening for a while. It's not something I've noticed, but I'm afraid it's affecting game performance. (Super paranoia thanks for Battlefield 3 :])

Catalyst Control Center used to let me turn Crossfire on and off, but now I can't find that option.

Here are the temps: 76 C according to CCC.

Is that 76C at idle? Or under load? If idle, that is WAY hot and the likely issue. Is this system still under warranty? Also, what version of Catalyst are you running?

Unlucky you.
First, check your power supply, you probably need something like a 800W for support both card on your pc, I suppose you have at least a 700W+?

I also could recommand you, uninstall drivers from ATi and download the package from Asus. Perhaps this will help.

And finaly check all the power plug. I remember I had a hard drive become unresponsive... because a bad power wire.

I hope this will help

@COLGeek: That's the temperature at idle. :/  Not sure if it's still under warranty. Looks like I'm gonna have to contact Asus. -_-

And here's the version: http://i.imgur.com/bVfTx.jpg (Dunno why I decided to take a picture, kind of afraid I'd *** up copying that down)

@Miharu: Good idea, will do.

The laptop/mobile HD48XXM models use less power than the desktop versions and they aren't directly comparable. Regardless, heat is the issue if idling at 76C. Time for an RMA/service. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Good luck!
