New pc build won't boot at all!

I built a new pc(first time).

I got everything set up and ready to go, but nothing turns on.

The PSU doesn't turn on, none of the fans spin, nothing.

I did make sure the PSU switch was on, i triple checked that the connection were tight. I have the 24 pin connected, the 8 pin connected, GPU is connected, i tried plugging in all of the Front Panel connectors differently but nothing.

I'm assuming that the PSU is faulty since the fan doesnt even spin.


I'm thinking of taking everything out and assembling it not in the case, but i don't think it'll work, i think the PSU is DOA, what do you guys think.


PC Specs:

Case: Cooler Master RC 692 Advanced
Motherboard: Asrock 970 extreme3
GPU: HIS Radeon HD 6850 1 GB
RAM: PNY XLR8 8 GB 4 x 2 @ 1600MHz
PSU: OCZ ZS Series 650w
CPU: AMD Phenom ii x4 960t w/ stock fan.
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 250 GB
CD Drive: LG/Modisc drive.

Make sure that the PSU's plugged into the wall properly, and try it with a different outlet. Try it with the PSU switch in both positions.
Can you post a couple pictures of your PSU and connections?

Oh i didn't take a pic of those but i can assure you that they are all in the correct spot. Should i return the psu?
