I don't know too much about building computers so I figured that I would ask around before making any decisions. If there is anything that would be cheaper or a wiser choice, feel free to let me know. I would prefer something a tad bit cheaper but I would like something that would run WoW and Skyrim at max.

I took out the mail-in rebates because I don't think I'm going to be buying it by 12/31/11 so they won't apply

I have two suggestions for you:

Go with this case instead it is Tom's Hardware Recommended Buy:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153

As for your Patriot memory, if I am correct, it is a shell shocker deal? Meaning, it is not going to stay at that price for long? If the price changes maybe you can go with these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

Are you not getting an after market CPU Heatsink? Are you planning on overclocking that 2500k? If not, go with the 2400 instead.

You can do a little better.

Check out my $600 build here:
http://www.squidoo.com/electronicandmore

Change the i5 2400 to this i5 2500K + PNY 8GB DDR3 1333 combo. (+15)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.783207
Change the motherboard to this Asrock Extreme3 Gen3 Z68 (+50)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157271
Change the 6870 to this 560 ti (+50)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125401
Finally, change the PSU in the build to this OCZ 750 (+40)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341049
Total: $761 before rebates.

A few extra bucks and you get a much larger boost in GPU performance, plus you can SLI in the future with the 750w PSU.

How does this build look? (No PSU)
Case - $50 - Cooler Master HAF 912 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...ww.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822148767
GPU - $209 ($20 rebate) - GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814125401
MoBo - $125 ($10 rebate) - ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157271
------------------
Combo ($240)
CPU - i5-2500k - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboD...t=Combo.783207
RAM - 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1333
------------------
TOTAL: $709 (Not including the 2 rebates which equal to $30)
-----------------------------------------
I plan on overclocking in the future which is why I chose the Z68 + 2500k. I'm not going to until I bounce back from this financially enough to get a heatsink.

Is that PSU a good deal/fit? (Referring to: $100 (not including the $20 rebate) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341049)
*I may go with SLI later on in addition to OC (most likely when OCing this build isn't keeping up in the future)*
Would this PSU work with OC? SLI? (SLI = Not a priority, just wondering) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018

I know this is probably a dumb question but can having too much W harm your computer? I checked the power supply calc on Newegg and it says its just under 500w (I'm using an old CD-ROM drive ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200671283424&_trksid=p2992.m753 ))

I saw that the RAM is only 1333. I know 1600 is ideal but how much of a difference is it? I don't mind spending an extra $20 to get 1600 but anywhere I can save money is helpful.
