Hi all.
I'm looking to build my first computer so i can partake in some hardcore gaming. I'm looking for a little advice on what to buy.
I'll follow the how to ask sticky and go from there.
Approximate Purchase Date: As soon as possible.
Budget Range: I'm looking at £400-£450. I could maybe stretch a little if needed.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming and video editing. I figure if it can handle them anything else should be easy.
Parts Not Required: Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor, PSU, RAM, HDD, OS, CPU
Preferred Website(s) for Parts:No preference
Country: U.K.
Parts Preferences: Intel i5 2500k.
Overclocking: Yes
SLI or Crossfire: I need help with this
Monitor Resolution: Best available
Basically i need help with compatibility and parts comparison.
I've already decided on an i5 2500k. What i need to go with that is advice on whether or not to get 2 hd 6870's and crossfire them or spend the same money (about £300) on a single card.
Next i have the predicament of which motherboard (z68) will fit 2 6870's if needed and what case this will all fit into with 2 massive cards.
Stuff like PSU, HDD, optical drives, OS etc i have covered.
Thank you in advance.
