About memory channels

1) how much difference are there between single,dual,triple and quad channel??

2) do they process things faster or just that data are written on the ram faster cause of the higher channel??
Also,if so, if i use dual channel kit vs quad channel kit ,same speed ,same clock,is the quad faster?? and in terms of what?

not much difference but there is some
for usual pc for everyday use quad would be waste of money, plus not all consumer motherboard have that functionality
