I5 2450M

i think that the i5 2450M in my labtop have turbo boost and ive read some where that it can get up to 3.10 Ghz but i dont know how any help would be appreciated

Turbo Boost applies to how many cores a program uses. It will only run at 3.1ghz when the program uses 1 core.

It should turbo itself automatically when needed. Like what amuffin you can only get up to 3.1 if your program uses 1 core.

Turbo Boost is an automatic overclock. It depends on the CPU's temperature and how many cores are being used. The maximum of 3.1GHz is possible when only one core is being used and as long as the CPU is not running too hot.
