Hello

I need to know what is the consumption in idle and max power consumption of the 15 2320

and same for the i72600 as i need to make a choice between this 2 and my system has only 330w PSU so this numbers seem important to me.

thanks

First for all take a look at this tool as it will add it up for you http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine and advise you on the minimal PSU you need. Most people think that the TDP (Thermal Design Power) is the power that it needs but that isnt the case. TDP really is the amount of cooling that you need to keep the processor runing well. So if you are using the Intel Core i7-2600, a basic board with no special features, 2 sticks of DDR 3 memory, no video card, an SATA HDD and a DVD-RW you should be able to run off a 208w+ PSU (If and that is a big "IF" it is a good quality PSU).

Hi Cristian

you miss under stud my question.

I am not building my system this is a prebuild system from alienware and there is nothing i can change before ordering except the CPU

So for your better understanding I am considering ones i have the system on my hands to upgrade the graphique card and having such small PSU 330 wats

I must make calculations of many things heat and max power in full load, that is why i need to get the number's of the 2 cpus i have mentioned and yes i did my searching and haven't found what i am asking max power consumption in full load while gaming of such CPUs

After checking over 500 pages of white papers and some Google searches for your answer here is the best that I can do. http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/intel_core_i5_2500k_and_core_i7_2600k_sandy_bridge,14.html and http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core-i5-2400s_6.html

Think that the Intel Core i5-2320 and the Intel Core i5-2500K should have the same or very close to the same wattage at idle and max draw and the same with the Intel Core i7-2600 and Intel Core i7-2600K. For more than this you can try to give our technical support a call at 916-377-7000 and they might have some resource that I dont know of to find this out.
