In the near future i am looking to upgrade to these components:
Case: HAF X
CPU: fx-8150 bulldozer(8core @ 3.6 from AMD)
mobo:ASUS crosshair formula IV
GPU: Radeon 7970(when ever available)
cooler:Corsair H100
Also i have a 64gb SSD, 500gb 7200 RPM WD caviar blue /1tb 7200 caviar black HDD

Iam looking for a fully modular PSU that will be able to support the hardware above(only one GPU not going to crossfire) Id like to get a list of PSU's that would work well

Price range $80-160ish.. not sure of how many watts ill need.

Here is a review with a fairly overclocked system and the 7970. Check out the power.

Mostly modular some cables are pre attached.

60 Amps @ 12 volts, that should cover it :) This was just the first thing to come to mind. AMDs new card is supposed to be about 250 watts full load and the cpu is about 125(plus you have to add the rest of the system, TBH you will most likely never hit that max power of the card or cpu, but good to have too much rather then too little.). this leaves room for upgrades and gives you great efficiency.

7 Year warranty as well

You do not need this much power, but think of the future and if your system loads at half the load of these, you will hit max efficiency and run them cooler and quieter. There are too many to list. Remember you get what you pay for and what you want is tons of current(Amps) on the 12 volt rail.

Efficiency(at about half all non passive power supplies run more efficiently) and future upgrades + any overclocking.

You are 100% right about the power use.
