XFX PRO550W PSU Core Edition Enough for XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB?

I recently bought my new XFX PRO550W PSU, I've checked around and used calculators, i'm pretty sure it will run a 6870, but will it be stable? On another forum they said that it wouldn't be enough, but I wanted to check here before I bought a card? Thanks Alot.

Yes, that PSU will easily run your rig. I run a 6950 on a Seasonic M12II-520 that has 4A less on the 12V rail.
