I admit, I don't know what I'm doing.

I have a new build with an asus f2a85-v pro and a amd a10-5800. I purchased corsair CML4GX3M2A1600C9B. The system is very slow to power on, no fans psu or anything for 2-5 minutes after the power button is pushed. I have been told on here that it could be the memory, and I should loosen the timing. Does this sound right? I can get into bios to change the setting, but have no idea what to set them to. Was this a bad choice for the ram? Thank you for any help.

Should I have gotten g.skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL? That was my second choice.

I changed the memory to the G.skill. I am still having this problem, could anyone help me out? Please.
