6950 heatsink compatability

Seems to me that you shouldn't worry about the compatibility with the heatsink and the GPU but with the waterblock and the heatsink.That heatsink is designed to fit the 6950 so that means it will fit every 6950 but waterblocks come in different shapes and sizes.That's where I think you should do some more research to see if it will work with the waterblock.

But in all honesty I think a full cover waterblock would be much better.That would mean everything on the PCB would be watercooled.

Those cards you have listed are the exact same the only difference is one is an O.C. version.

thanks for the suggestion, the reason i wanted to go with a heatsink and not a full cover is that i already have this waterblock running on my 5750 which keeps it under 40c under full load:

im planning on just transfering it over to the 6950 to cool the gpu, then using the heatsink to cool the rest.

Also, im basing the compatability off this chart, the 210 claims to support the 6900 series:
