Looking to upgrade memory and I'm not sure what I can and can't use as far as speed goes. I'd like to find out what the fastest memory is that my board can handle, we are constantly pushing this system's performance to the max by running multiple programs and games at the same time. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Here's my specs:

CPU : AMD Athlon II X4 630 (AM3)
MOBO: MSI 785GM-E51
RAM: 4GB Dual Channel (Not sure of the MHZ)

I downloaded CPU-Z and took a screenshot if this helps:

Thanks

For that system I would go with 1600MHz ram, you are currently using 1333MHz. You will though not benefit from going over 4GB unless you are running 64bit OS.

I agree with Rolli - DDR31600 is what you're going to want. The motherboard will support up to 16 GB as long as you are running a x64 OS (the clear edges looks like it's either vista or win7). I would get a 8GB dual channel kit and see if that meets your needs in terms of performance. If not, buy another set and you're good to go. Here's the kit I use (have 2 in my desktop):

Thanks for replies. Yes it is Win 7 64 bit so hopefully the upgrade will help. Ordering now, thanks again.
