Dataram RAM disk SERIOUS problems

So I impulse bought 8gb Ram for windows 7 32 bit, despite the niggling doubt that there was sure to be a problem even though I could install up to 16gb.
Now, of course, I realise install and use are 2 different things (4gb limit on 32 bit operating systems)
After sorting through all my files ready to switch to 64 bit I stumbled across an ineresting idea, to mount that extra ram to a virtual drive and use it as scratch space, temp file directory etc.
Realising that a manual operation was out of the question I found most people use the free version of Dataram RAM disk.

After installing and setting up everything I tried to move temp internet folder to the newly mounted drive. BSOD
Restart and check whats going on, temp folder hasn't moved but my ram drive is full of gibberish corrupted files.
Check the properties of it. BSOD
Stop it. BSOD
Reformat it through windows. BSOD
Redownload, reinstall, re run, same result.
Not only blue screen, sometimes it freezes and displays sort of stationary horizontal linear coloured static.

BlueScreenView has this to say about the latest batch of crashes

I have heard that some types of RAM have issues, but nothing about corsair.

Question is; is it time to give up or is there any sort of solution.
