Beep on startup toshiba if power cable is plugged

Hello,

I have toshiba laptop and it gives a repeated sort beaps when I start it. I noticed if the power cable is plugged to the Laptop it gives the beep. When it is starting without the power cable plugged the beep doesnt come.

Could you please help to resolve this?

might be a bad AC adapter. How many beeps are there? Long, short, what?

yes, it is the AC adapter. the beep is a short continuous one.
