Memory kit for ASUS Sabertooth Z77

February 7, 2013 4:08:19 PM

Hi all,

I'm planning to build a gaming PC. So I already bought the motherboard, case and the PSU. Here are my CPU, Motherboard and PSU options.

CPU: Intel Core i7 3770K <http://ark.intel.com/products/65523>

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth Z77 <http://www.asus.com/Motherboard/SABERTOOTH_Z77/#overvie...;

PSU: Corsair AX750 750W 80+ Gold Modular <http://www.corsair.com/professional-series-gold-ax750-8...;

I prefer a memory kit with; :hello:

- Ideally 16gb (2x8gb) or 16gb(4x4gb) kit. (8gb (2x4gb) will be my last option)
-1866MHz or Higher (1600MHz will be the last option)
-And proper latency (I have a very basic idea about latency but i don't know how to choose a memory based on this criteria)
-And I prefer Corsair, Kingston and Patriot memory kits as they are readily available in my country.

To find a suitable memory kit I referred ASUS Qualified Vendor List for Sabertooth Z77
<http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/SABERTOOTH_...;

But I realized that list is outdated with lot of discontinued products. :( So I went to each of those (Corsair, Kingston and Patriot) memory supplier's site;

Corsair <http://www.corsair.com/en/learn_n_explore/>
Kingston <http://www.kingston.com/us/memory/search?DeviceType=7&M...;
Patriot <http://www.patriotmemory.com/includes/support/memory_se...;

Based on my research I found following memory kits;
<http://www.corsair.com/en/dominatorr-gt-with-dhx-pro-co...;
<http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-8gb-dual-channel-ddr3-...;
<http://www.patriotmemory.com/product/detail/8GB%20%282%...;

Now I am bit of confused on what is the best suited memory kit for my Mobo. :( So please help me to find the best recommended memory kit under my requirements. Plus I want to know whether Patriot is a reliable brand for RAMs. Thanks in advance :)
