Multiple issues after motherboard change, please help!!!

Forum Systems : New Build Multiple issues after motherboard change, please help!!!

I got a New motherboard and video card for christmas, so I spent most of the morning installing them. And since then I've had nothing but problems. I had to wipe my HDD, which now makes a load grinding clicking noise whenever I download or install something, I've had multiple BSOD's, my Crucial Ballistix 4gb stick at 1600mhz only showed up as 3.96gb's, and my SATA dvd drive Is no longer detected in windows. It worked just long enough for me to install windows, and my motherboard and video card drivers.

I've Tried the following:

For my hard drive I've made sure it was screwed in properly, made sure everything was plugged in properly, and made sure there were no wires rubbing against the bottom of it.

For my RAM I've tried changing the sockets on the motherboard, I've tried using another Dimm of Kingston ram (4gb DDR3 1333), which also only displayed as 3.96gb

And for my DVD Drive I've Tried uninstalling the drivers, Deleting the upper and lower filtersin the HKEY file Using regedit. Unplugging, and re-plugging it into the motherboard, and power supply.
All of drivers are up to date as far as I can tell.

If you can help with any one of these problems it would be greatly appreciated, I've spent most of christmas trouble shooting, and I'm really tired and frusterated.

Specs are as follows:
-Rosewill Blackbone Case
-Rosewill HIVE 650w PSU
-ASUS M5A97 AM3+ Motherboard
-AMD Phenom ii x2 Unlocked to x4 B60 @3.30ghz (Stable)
-4gb DDR3 Kingston value ram 1333mhz
-ASUS EAH6850 GPU
-750gb 7200RPM seagate HDD
-LG SATA DVD-rom drive
-Windows Vista 64bit

Personally I think I would go with the mATX board and save the money. Here is a review...
