hey I just brought a gigabyte 990fxa-ud3 and a Amd fx 4130 radoen hd 6450 8gigs of memory ddr3 all in a alienware area-51 alx atx case, but when I boot it up for the first time I got one short beep then the bios set up screen im thinking all is fine oooooh no! it doesn't recognize the Microsoft key board that came with the alienware ps2 plug now I tried my girls keyboard a asus just brought which is usb it wouldn't eve light her keyboard up so im stuck I need to know how to get this motherboard to recognize the keyboard :fou:

Two things come to mind:

1. If you're plugging in the keyboards to a USB port on the case, make sure these ports have been connected to the mobo; or

2. try plugging the keyboards into the motherboard

If you've tried 2, and that fails, you could have a bad mobo. Also, try other USB devices into the USB ports to see if said devices power-up.
