Hello,
I need to be able to use the printers connected to my desktop from my laptops what hardware do I need

Just a network. So long as the printers are connected to one of the computers in a network, all the othes can send data to them for printing.

A wireless printer can stand alone and serve all the computers without being connected to one of them but it is not essential to buy a wireless printer just because you have a wireless network.

Just make sure you shared the printer on the computer it is connected to for it to be visible on the network
