No, unfortunately it does not support the I7-3930K. ONly server CPUs are supported. I am assuming this is due to the server CPU having a lower TDP(power requirement) than a desktop part.
its not tdp. the ivybridge 4 core processors are an example of why it isnt. 3770 wont work in dual cpu configurations whereas there is an exact equivilent, tdp and all, to the 3770 for servers.

technically the sever processor is 100mhz slower, but whatever. close enough to make the point. 3770s could very easily be ran in dual sockets if intel would just allow it.
most certainly the slower desktop processors could be, but they still arent allowed.
