Hello,
I have an external hard drive that can be connected using usb 3.0. My laptop does not have a usb 3.0 port, however it does have an esata port. I was wondering if i bought an adapter for usb 3.0 to esata, if it would transfer at usb 3.0 speeds?

Regards

no, it will transfer at the hard drives speed regardless of which interface is used.
