I recently purchased an ASUS 8800 Ultra to upgrade my 8600GT. However, around 1 out of every 5 times i try to boot into windows 7, i get a weird picture on my screen and the computer does not boot. I have attatched a link to a camera image of the picture i get on my monitor. After I get the pitcure, the computer just freezes and stays at that image until I manually have to shut down the computer which is harmful. Please help me guys!!!! I am not sure whether my motherboard can not handle the graphics card, but I am also realising that when I play games, my new graphics card seems to be slower than my 8600GT (old graphics card). I have an 800W PSU. It could be the graphics card power connector because I had to buy a 4 pin molex to 6 pin gpu adaptor which seems to be missing one pin although the graphics card does operate. NOTHING HAS BEEN OVERCLOCKED AND ALL TEMPERATURES ARE NORMAL!

Specs:

E7300 Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz
Gigabyte GAP31S3G motherboard
4GB 1066MHz RAM
320GB HDD
800W PSU
ASUS 8800 Ultra
a c 162 U Graphics card
a c 354 $ Windows 7

8800s are known for their issues. Try the card in another PC, see if it does the same thing.
