as a minor note, is this some good ram to pair with the above motherboard's
Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600 (PC3-12800) CL9 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?...
its 74.99 but i believe it drops to 64.99 when paired with a motherboard as well which seems great for 16b of ram o-o

Hello Repress,

I just purchased this ram from microcenter along with Asus z77-v-deluxe MB. However I'm not clear if I can use it with this MB as it is (2x8GB) My MB approved vendor list only shows it in (4x4)16GB. Personally I would have a tech support person from Microcenter verify that it will work with your choice of MB.

I'm heading back to MC this morning to return this memory and either go with 2x8 or 4x4 sticks.

Anyway good luck with your build...
