Hi guys, im currently going to buy a new pc, with i7 2600k + asus P8Z68-V + a small SSD. That would be all to start, farther ahead im going to overclock it, take the cpu to 4.0ghz or more (5.0 max). I will add a dedicated video card gtx 570 and a hdd of 500gb. And maybe a couple of extra fans. Overclocking will take place at the end of the year (or farther ahead), or depending what i need. By that time, i can sell the psu that i got, and buy a new one.
So what i need now is a psu to holds that i7, with stock clock, and the gtx 570 which i will buy next month. Running some wattage calculators, output was 665w, so a 700w psu would be enough?

And the second doubt, is that the only psu i can get in my area are from topower, thermaltake and antec. I am not familiar with those brands, but the only one i saw at good price (at least good price here :/ ) was Topower Nano TOP-700WB 80+ Modular at U$S 165.00. They also have:

Topower Top-700w (without the "80+") : U$S 139.00
Topower Nano TOP-800WB 80+ Modular: U$S 186.00
Antec 750W 80+ : U$S 188.00
Thermaltake RX 750w 80+: U$S 214.00

214 is out of budget so, i was between the first 4. The doubt is, are those brands good, they deliver what it says? and if with 700w im ok for this system.

Greetings! and thanks in advance. :)

P.s: Im from Argentina, prices are from here, and my english isn't that refined. So sorry for that!

A GTX570 needs 550w with 38a on the 12v rails plus two 6-pin PCI-E power leads.
That assumes that the rest of your components are typical, which they are.
A OC takes a bit more, but nothing compared to the graphics card.
It is not wrong to overprovision the psu a bit so that it runs in the more efficient middle third of it's range.
The newer more efficient 28nm graphics cards like the 7970 and GTX680 also need the same 550w psu.

Really, I think you would do fine with a 600-650w psu.

Among the brands you listed, I would trust Antec by far.

Suerte.

I would stay away from Topower PSUs. Of the PSUs that you listed I would go for the Antec, but you don't need 750W. NVidia recommends a 550W PSU with a minimum 12V current rating of 38A. You would want to add some amperage to the estimate to allow for the overclocking...about 5A for the CPU; that puts the total around 43A on the 12V rail. Some Antec PSUs that meet that requirement:
Antec High Current Gamer 620: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371059
Antec High Current Gamer 520 (Barely...): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371058
Antec BP550 Plus: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371016
Antec Earthwatts EA-500D: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371035

i linked to several different Antec PSUs because I'm not sure what series is available to you.

Life-saver comment, reading a bit more about what u said, i figured out that the topower psu, delivers 26A on the 12v rail: http://www.topower.com/product/TOP700WB.html

Gracias! (=

So im going Antec then! i can only get:

Antec EarthWatts 650W Green 80+ PFC PCIe6+2p, it delivers 38a on the 12v rail: http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=Mjc0Nw==

Besides that one there is one of 500w, and the next one is of 750w: Antec EarthWatts 750W 80+ PFC 9xSATA 2x6+2p+2x6p (delivers 25a on 12v)

I didnt find one that delivers 43a, but is enough that it can hold the i7 and the vga. Later on, when i plan to overclock, i will change it i guess.

P.d: if anyone wants to know from where i am getting prices: http://www.ocstore.com.ar/productos.asp?opt=2&cod=32&sprod=90

The Earthwatts 650W is more than sufficient to power your rig and will serve you well - Happy gaming!

The antec is 'eco friendly', it's like buying a WD Green rather than a SSD.
Not quite. It's got 2 12-volt rails each putting out 38A. Plenty for SLI/CFX. The WD green runs at 5900 rev's which is why it's green. The Antec is green because it doesn't use power unless needed. But when it's needed it's there. The WD green can't increase it's rev's. And even the WD black or 10,000 rev model can't compete with an SSD. No HDD can. The Antec however, can hold it's own in it's class against the non-green models.
