Unable to complete installation of drivers and Catalyst Control Center

Forum Graphics & Displays : AMD Radeon Unable to complete installation of drivers and Catalyst Control Center

Hello,
I have been experiencing problem with installation of Radeon driver and Catalyst Control Center for Windows 7 64-bit. I have downloaded the 11.9 version of driver for Windows 7 (64 bit) from the AMD website. Along the installation process I can get to the screen "Select Installation Operation" where it asks whether I want to install or uninstall the AMD software. Whichever I click, the window disappears and nothing happens. I have tried 11.8 and 11.2 versions with the same result.

I have the following system components:
Intel i5 2500
ASUS P8P67 motherboard
Radeon HD 5770
Radeon HD 6770

When I look at Device Manager, it appears Windows 7 already found the appropriate drivers for the 2 video cards.

I am hoping I can get Catalyst Control Center installed to use the CrossFire feature.

Any help would be appreciated.

no. I am actually waiting for the CrossFire bridge to arrive. I assume I need to have Catalyst Control Center installed anyways to run CrossFire?

which type of error you got while installing a driver.

No clear error message, but the installation window just disappears after I hit "install." After that nothing happens.
