Hello,

My sister just gave me her PC to take look at it, It was so slow.

I've ran;

CCleaner
Disk Deframenter
Virus Scan with Avast
Changed the power plan to Full Performance
Changed the computer to Best performance

Yet it is still slow, so i had a look at the CPU usage and Physical Usage and straight away i saw the Physical Usage at 95% and 97% Lowest it has gone is 95%. CPU Usage is at 2% idling.

PC Specs:

Windows 7 HP 64bit
Intel i3 2100 @ 3.1ghz
3GB Ram
500GB hard drive
Intel HD graphics

What can i do to fix this?

Reply Asap please!

Open Task Manager and go into Processes tab. Click Memory sub-tab and it should show which applications are using the most memory. You should then run CCleaner which will also let you disable any useless programs at Windows startup so they won't constantly run in the background, eating up memory.

Also 3 GB of RAM is just barely enough for a 64-bit operating system as they usually take about 2 GB just to run the system itself. So getting more RAM is also something I'd recommend.
