Speedfan question

Hey people. I don't have much pc knowledge so I gotta ask:
I installed Speedfan to check my cpu temperature.
Then I uninstalled it
( I did this twice to check)
Does speedfan change fan speed or other settings when its opened or do I have to choose it manually?
Does settings and speeds apply when its uninstalled?

No-one knows if speedfan changes fan speed or any other settings when just launching it?
