Well Im saving up some money to get ivybridge when it comes out and a hopefully a z77 mobo when they come out. But the main reason im doing it is so I can use PCIE 3.0 when it comes out. Do you think I should save the money to get other things? or use it to get ivybridge and a z77? I already have an i7 2600k @4.5ghz and an MSI p67 gd65. Also will the PCIE 3.0 be a big upgrade when it comes out? I have a gtx 570

No one knows for sure until the PCI-E 3.0 cards come out.
I "think" the difference between 3.0 and 2.0 will be like the difference between 2.0 and 1.0(which isn't much),but that's a guess.

No speed upgrade just reduce in the overhead which will be close to 0. But doesn't Sandy Bridge CPU's have PCI-e 3.0 controllers?

Edit: Nope 2.0 I notice. You can't create much more bandwidth with 2 channel ram than to go with 2x x8/x8 with them I take it.
