Hello, this is my first time creating a custom computer and I would appreciate some opinions. I'm looking for somewhat of a mid-range gaming computer, my price range goal was originally to stay around $1,000 but I'm willing to stretch it to an extent. At the moment I mostly play LOTRO and I enjoy the MMO genre but I would like to have a system that is capable of playing a variety of different games.

here is what I have so far:

Case: Raidmax Helios Gaming Mid-Tower Case w/ Side-Panel Window
Extra Case Fan Upgrade: Default case fans
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K 3.30 GHz 6M Intel Smart Cache LGA1155 (All Venom OC Certified)
Venom Boost Fast And Efficient Factory Overclocking: No Overclocking
Cooling Fan: Asetek 510LC Liquid Cooling System 120MM Radiator & Fan (Enhanced Cooling Performance
+ Extreme Silent at 20dBA) (Single Standard 120MM Fan)
Coolant for Cyberpower Xtreme Hydro Water Cooling Kits: Standard Coolant
Motherboard: [CrossFireX] Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 Chipset DDR3 ATX Mainboard LucidLogix Virtu and
Intel Smart Response Technology & 7.1 HD Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, 2x SATA-III RAID,2 3 PCIe Gen2, 2 PCIe
X1 & 2 3CI (All Venom OC Certified)
Memory: 16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 2GB 16X PCIe Video Card (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA)
Power Supply Upgrade: * 650 Watts - Thermaltake TR2 RX Modular 80 Plus PSU - PN: TRX-650M
Hard Drive: * 60 GB OCZ Agility 3 SATA III 6.0Gb/s SSD - 525MB/s Read & 475MB/s Write (Single Drive)
Data Hard Drive: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
Optical Drive: 24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD+-R/+-RW + CD-R/RW Drive (BLACK COLOR)
Sound: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO
Network: Onboard Gigabit LAN Network
Keyboard: Xtreme Gear (Black Color) Multimedia/Internet USB Keyboard
Mouse: XtremeGear Optical USB 3 Buttons Gaming Mouse
Flash Media Reader/Writer: INTERNAL 12in1 Flash Media Reader/Writer (BLACK COLOR)
Internal USB Port: Built-in USB 2.0 Ports
Operating System: Microsoft® Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit Edition)
Service: STANDARD WARRANTY: 3-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY PLUS LIFE-TIME TECHNICAL SUPPORT

I'd appreciate any opinions/tips/etc.. the system adds up to $1254 which is a bit over my original budget but I don't particularly mind stretching it a bit up or down price wise, although if there are easy ways to lower the price of course I'd go for them.

Thanks in advance.

Two things your Graphics card and your PSU. The graphic card (GPU) should be the GTX 560 Ti it is just a better card now unless you are going to run higher resolution than 1920 x 1200 then the 2GB will be needed also if you are going to run more than one monitor. I will give you links to show you.

Now Your power supply (PSU) the one brand you chose is on the worst of the charts in other words no good. Also is your mother board able to do SLI because all I see is Crossfirex and if that is the case you won't be able to get the Nvidia cards. You should look for the mother board that shows both SLI...
