Hi,

I have the below motherboard
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P

I currently have 4GB RAM on it. (G.SKILL PI Black 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800)

I am looking at upgrade options.

DDR3 RAM seems much cheaper. Can I use them in this motherboard? Will DDR3 RAM fit in DDR2? I believe the config of this Motherboard is for DDR2 as per the site.

Any suggestions on the memory upgrade options I have for this board?

One followup questions.

I found G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-4GBNT for 45 dollars in Newegg.

Is this something that I can use along with my existing 2x2GB RAM?
The existing one is

Theoretically, they should work.
Sometimes, voltage adjustments are needed.
However, if using Windows 8 32-bit, the memory limit is 4GB.

But according to my System Info - I have
Windows 8 32-bit, x64 based processor. So I should be able to have 128 GB RAM, correct?

No, 32 bit Windows is/are not able to use more than 4GB. Even if the processor is x64 capable. It's a software limitation.
