Guys , I have a home built pc right now .
I was thinking of upgrading . And so my question is , if you upgrade your motherboard but keep the same HDD , the drivers for the old motherboard won't conflict with the new one ? So can I install the drivers for the new motherboard on the same HDD that contains drivers for the old motherboard ? Or do I need to re-install the whole pc ?

if the mb has the same chipsets or close to the same you may get lucky and only have to call microsoft to renew your microsoft number when you switch the mb. as a tech most time i see windows crash and burn unless you go in a remove all of the old device drivers. even then some time you have to reinstall windows. it always better to nuke and pave the drive and do a clean install. if you have data and programs you cant lose i would try the f8 and remove the drivers and see if windows will boot fine and run.
