RMA MoBo EVGA Z77

Need to RMA my 2 mth old Z77 board because the 2 memory slots furthest from the CPU prevents the board from posting if any sticks are present..

My question- Since I'll be using the same hardware, will my SSD with the OS and drivers work right away or do I have to load the MoBo drivers from the CD again?

They will work.
When uninstalling the CPU, check the CPU socket for bent pins.

Do you think bent pins may be casuing the RAM issues?


I'll check and see. This is my 5th build in the last 7 years and I've never had as many problems as I've had with this board.

Yes, bent pins can cause RAM slots not working.

Yes, bent pins can cause RAM slots not working.

The RAM was the problem.

I replaced with 2 new sticks and now I have the board able to post with 4 sticks of RAM.
