Solution D D dmid Feb 12, 2013 2GB of slower memory is better than 1GB of faster memory in nearly all use cases these days. Now had you asked if 8GB slow was better than 4GB of fast, that would be a closer call since you probably wouldn't use more than 4GB most of the time.
