Need Advice On CPU Upgrade Please

I have an HP Desktop ... circa 2005/2006 ... (Mediacenter M1070n) with ASUS PUFFER MB ... American Megatrends BIOS version 3.28 (year 2006) Socket LGA775 with Pentium 4 660 3.6Ghz (working perfect) ... My question: Will this MB & Bios recognize and support an Intel LGA775 Dual Core E6850 Processor? Also, am I limited to ONLY the BIOS version 3.28 (only one listed on HP's support list) or is there another later version available for flashing my current my current BIOS? Thanks for any info ... From HP website you can see the PC has the intel Intel 915P chipset that only can support the 533/800MHz FSB (Front-side bus) CUP. And the E6850 has the 1333MHz so you can't use the E6850. Sorry.

GREAT and ACCURATE answer! Sounds like I've pretty much maxed out the capabilities of this relic. Hard to believe, but that antiquated P4 660 3.6Ghz coupled with a PowerColor Radeon HD 5770 and 4Gb of RAM is STILL racking up scores of 30K+ in 3dMark03 Benchmarking on the free download.
