I have the game set up on medium settings and a low setting on terrain, and it plays nicely and fast. like world at war 2

I have a 6790 and i play BF3 at 1680x1050 with everything on ultra; I dont play with any AA though no post or defered and I get 40-60 FPS with it idling around 40 when there is alot going on; on screen.

I paid 130$ for my 6790 on newegg

2.9 ghz AMD 1065t x6
6 gigs ram
XFX ATI 6790

at that screen resolution the gts250 you have should do you fine. nothing under $100 will get you much better fperformance. your mostly limited by your CPU. Upgrade the cpu before you do anything else. and some more ram would be good.

cant go any higher than a 4800 compaq says. and caant get any more memory because its a 32 bit system, can get maybe another 512mb but thats it. maybe Ill get e new rig for xmas

i have the iris 8 motherboard am2 socket

compa says that because at the time they wrote that it was the best thing available, it doesnt mean it wont work.

Id also suggest a 6770 as a friend has one
