This is what a local costs for ram:
256MB SDRAM PC 133 (Micron/Infineon) - $80
256M DDR-PC2100: 266mhz - $300

Are these guys nuts for charging that much for DDR or is that the norm? I want to go DDR but that is too expensive.
I want to overclock as well so they probably have crap ram they are selling too. Anyone know a good place to buy online for mem? I want crucial pc150 or DDR to compare price. Can anyone show me a good place to buy from?

OK that is way too much. I don't know why they think they can get away with that but that is close to rape there. Below are crucials price for PC1600 and PC133, note the price difference. I am willing to bet that when they release there PC2100(which will be soon I hope) that there price will not be much higher than the PC1600.

256MB SDRAM, PC133 • CL=2 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 7.5ns • 3.3V • 32Meg x 64 CT32M64S4D7E $96.29

256MB DDR PC1600 • Unbuffered • Non-parity • 2.5V • 32Meg x 64 CT3264Z202 $96.29

Note the comparison is between PC133 SDRAM and PC1600 DDR. I suggest waiting untill crucial releases PC2100 for pricing.

Someday I will stop asking all the questions!

A quick couple of searches at www.pricewatch.com yielded prices of $289 to $349 for 256mb of pc2100 DRAM. Some was CAS3 and some was CAS2.5 but pricing was not consistantly low for the CAS3.
