AMD Athlon X2 6400 temperature

I recently built a new computer, and I don't know if I should be concerned about the CPU temp. I'm using CoreTemp to read the CPU temp. When I run Call of Duty 4 under relatively high settings, it says that one core is about 70 degrees C and the other is at 62 degrees. Should I worry, and if so, what can I do to change it?

Should your worry? I would a little. The rule of thumb is to not exceed 70C (To some people it's 65C or maybe even 60C).

Since it's the 6400+, you should be using an after market cooling. What ever it maybe, it should be better than the stock ones provided by AMD or Intel.

Re-seat the heatsink and make sure it's securely fastened. Also do not put too much thermal compound, but don't put too little. Some good thermal compound are Arctic Silver 5 and MX-2.

If you have a some what crappy cooler, the Zerotherm Nirvana at newegg seems like a real good deal.
