Wondering something about my cpu fan..

hi,
i was wondering if there was a possible way to leave the fan running at, say 60% all of the time. The reason for this is because my CPU fan waits until my CPU hits ~40C to start spinning at all...When i use speedfan to throttle the speeds, 60% is still unoticable and it lets my CPU run @ 30C idle.

Use a zalman fanmate 2 fan controller. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118217 Set the bios to no speed control. It will try to run the fan at full voltage. Use the zalman to adjust the speed to your liking.

yes

you can use a combination of more then one throttle - say intel mobo control and a external as above

then you can use a thermal too

or just one or combine

yeah, i know, i do have a fan speed controller for all my case fans, i was just wondering if there was another way to do it with PWMs directly from the mobo.
