"Los Angeles, California - E3 - May 16, 2005 - Alias announced today
its intention to join the Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s Tools and
Middleware Program for "PLAYSTATION®3" when it launches. This will
enable Alias to tailor the roadmap for software products such as
Maya®, Alias MotionBuilder® and Alias|HumanIK® middleware to the needs
of developers working on SCEI's "PLAYSTATION®3". These three Alias
products are development musts for the leading current-generation
console titles."

Does that Alias deal indicate the PS3 can render movie quality CGI in
real time? I guess so.

Is it all hype? Only Spring 2006 will tell us...
