I am currently building my own computer for my university course and gaming that I do. My course requires some serious rendering software.
Will these parts work together:

Processor Intel i7 Sandybridge 2600k - [...] 623i72600k

Graphics PowerColor HD 6970 2GB - [...] -2gbd5-2dh

Hard Drive WD 1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6Gb/s Caviar Black - [...] wd1002faex

SSD For Boot OCZ 60GB Agility 3 - [...] 25sat3-60g

PSU OCZ ZX Series 1250W 80+ GOLD - [...] zx1250w-un

Will they work together? Yes. But it could definitely use a bit of tweaking:

PSU OCZ ZX Series 1250W 80+ GOLD - [...] zx1250w-un

You do *NOT* need a 1250W PSU for this build. This would be a far better choice and will probably save you $100:

SSD For Boot OCZ 60GB Agility 3 - [...] 25sat3-60g

Do not get the Agility 3 - I've read many reviews of this drive and they all seem to point toward the negative. Go with the Crucial M4, Intel 510, or Samsung 830 - much safer bets.

Graphics PowerColor HD 6970 2GB - [...] -2gbd5-2dh

The Sapphire 6950 2GB will be a safer bet if you plan to run multiple monitors. You can run them in any number of configs with adapters and especially in HDMI. With a BIOS flash the 2GB model will perform the same as the 6970.

Other than those recommendations it looks pretty good. Just needs a couple of things that I suggested above.

Crucial 64GB M4 SSD

Would you suggest this then for the SSD?

Yes that's the same drive I have - and it's been very excellent so far. All you need it for is OS and a few main programs - use the secondary drive for everything else.
