  1. A new graphics card for that computer as an upgrade is limited help if you are thinking gaming. Money is better saved towards a new system!
  2. Whats the use for the computer?

I agree with first respond. You will not notice any major improvement with that system. Is it for games or media/movie use?
  4. Talk about old tech. Meh, not much you can do. I say use this

Of course, you have to use the AGP hotfix drivers. I'd say try the ones on the CD first and if those give you trouble visit the Jaton website first. That card should allow your computer to do flash acceleration (which is very useful with that old P4) and might allow you to play older games, though that depends on the game :p.
  5. Ouch, AGP cards are that expensive??? Crazy. If this is simply for basic use and watching of stuff, I'd go with this. Similar power but cheaper.

Games will run better on that other card, but if you want gaming power I'm not sure you'd ever get it with a sub 2GHz P4.
  6. That 6200 is alot slower (though both are damn slow by modern standards). The 3450 at least provides GPU acceleration for flash which is important if you watch alot of flash video like youtube and hulu. The 3450 would also do ok with windows Areo, but of course you'd need more RAM for a newer version of Windows :p
  7. I don't think the difference would be that much. The 64bit DDR2 really kills it for the 3450. I'm thinking for basic video decode either card would work fine, so why pay more?
