having an Intel i5 CPU 760 @ 2.8 GHz with P7 H55 D-M PRO with 4 GB RAM. Please suggest a good Graphic card for the above.

You can choose pretty much any that is available and that your PSU can power.

what will be the purpose of the card, if gaming - what games and what settings / resolution will you be targeting (e.g. BF3 @ 1920x1080, ultra settings?)

what is the PSU in your machine

more info will otherwise I'll suggest GTX 590 or AMD HD 6990 and hope you have the cash and hardware in your system to cope with either ;-)
