Which psu is better?

hello I recently ran into an issue with my rig resulting in me having to buy a new psu. Someone on here told me to go with the SeaSonic M12II 620watt psu. I just wanted to know what is the major difference between that one and the Antec HCG M Series HCG-620M? I only ask because newegg is having a sale on antec psu's for 15% off so if there practically the same I'm going with the antec one LOL. Any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks ^^

More about which better
  1. antec psus are usually(hcg-620m is made by delta if i am not wrong) great but seasonic are best!my vote to seasonic.
  2. so should I wait till I get the extra 20 bucks for the seasonic one? Is it going to last me longer? I don't know much on psu's they seem to look about the same but if the seasonic is worth the extra 20 bucks I'll get that one then
  3. let us know what setup you want to run with the psu?
  4. case - nzxt gamma
    cpu - amd phenom 965 @3.9ghz
    gpu - radeon hd 6850
    mobo - asus m4a77t/usb3
    storage - 1tb hitachi 7200 rpm & ocz 60gb ssd
    memory - 6gig cosair 1333

think thats it if im missing anything let me know also i want to add in the future i plan on getting a new mobo and another 6850 for crossfire but thats not for a long time LOL
  5. If you can get a good price on the Antec HCG-620M there's no reason not to grab it.

i could get the antec for 69.99 and its 620 watt so wouldn't the antec be better since its on sale?
  10. well,620w isn't really needed.i trust xfx(seasonic)more than any other brands.they have really good quality and low failure rates.

will the antec last me a few years/few upgrades? or do you think i'll have to replace it in only a year or so? like I said only major thing I plan on doing is going crossfire if it can handle crossfire then it will last be forever LOL

alright thanks for your input this sale goes on for the next couple of days so I'll have to think about it some more. I have heard seasonic makes really good psu's. the only reason i'm interested in the antec is because its on sale and I don't have alot of cash lol

It should last you 1-5 years.
  14. for crossfire i would say get a 700w psu.

Alright thanks for your input like I said I don't have alot of money but if I need to spend an extra 20-40$ to get one that will last me for awhile then I'll have to do that. I just dont want to buy one and go to upgrade in the next couple months and have to already start thinking about buying a new psu LOL

wow lol so i should be alright with 6850 crossfire then? doesn't the 560 ti require more power? (correct me if im wrong) LOL
  22. Yes, infact it is plenty. The psu can easily power the 580, 680, and even the 7970.
