OK, so for my custom PC build, I have a mobo that has USB 3.0 and USB 2.9 connecters. The case I want only supports USB 2.0. Do I have to use the 3.0 on the mobo, like can I put the connected to the side?
You don't have to use the 3.0 front panel connector. If you want to though, just get a 5.25 or 3.25 bay device with USB 3.0 on it. They are cheap and with the right hardware, much faster.
