MB - There isn't a reason not to go with Z68. It has all the features of P67 plus some additionals... The main reason is cost. Check out the Gigabyte below...

PSU - 750w is a good size for that system. It would allow for adding a second GPU down the road. Stick with Antec, Corsair, XFX or Seasonic... At the moment the XFX 850w PSU below is a great purchase for $90 after MIR.

CPU Cooler - Hyper 212+ or 212 EVO...

750 Watts PSU will allow you to accommodate another GPU in case you decide to add another.
There hardly much difference between P67 & Z68 except support of Intel SRT. Anyway boards with either chipset cost same somewhat.
Considering these, here's a build similar to your but accommodate a better GPU, and 24" Monitor

Optical Drive: $20 -Asus

Case: $60- Xclio NightHawk

HDD: $100- Hitachi 1TB

Monitor : $200-Samsung 24"

GPU: $330 -XFX Radeon 6970 or GTX 570

PSU: $87- Antec Earthwatts 750

RAM: $40- Mushkin Enhanced Silverline( 2X 4GB)

Motherboard: $125- Asrock Z68 Extreme3

OS: $100- Windows 7 Home Premium

SSD: $170- OCZ Agility 3 120GB

CPU & Cooler: $245- i5 2500K & Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Total(Excluding Rebates): 1478 USD

Rebates: 72 USD

Great input ... thanks.

I have changed my cpu cooler...to the coolmaster.

As far as the psu... both look good... I wanted to go modular if I could... but thats not a huge deal.

Btw... my Subtotal: $1,535.87 is less 100 with discounts
