Asus mainboards error beeps

Does anybody know what means 1 long and 6 short beeps by starting a computer with ASUS mainboard?

ASUS P4R8L (for Pundit-R350/AB-P2800 barebone systems), and I can not see which BIOS is on the board, because it stops (no video signal, fan/cooler stops) just after theese beeps.
It looks that it has something with keyboard cotroler. But, what then to do?

Probably AMI BIOS, and I think I agree with you on the K'board controller from what I've seen regarding one long/6 short. Unfrtunately if this is true it would indicate a motherboard failure requiring replacement...

Only a half chance, but try a different keyboard in case it's that causing the error. Although it should boot without the keyboard connected... Also I believe the Keyboard Controller is incorporated in th IO chip which requires special equipment to replace. Probably cheaper to replace the motherboard if you can find one!
