Hi I just decided to update my PC and I got a new 2500K, 8gb ddr3 1333 ram, and a compatible mobo. My question is, do I have to reinstall windows 7 after replacing the old parts? This is not a brand new build and I am keeping my old HDD so that's why I ask. If I do not need to reformat my HDD, great! If I have to then I'll start backing up some stuff. Also, I plan on overclocking from 3.3 to possibly 4.0. Should I get an aftermarket cooler or is the stock cooler good enough? I heard some people are getting this CPU over 5.0 lol.

Thanks!

Wurkfur is correct, as mobo drivers may conflict and cause issues but it doesn't happen sometimes. 4.0 is pretty low but it is dependent on your roomtemp if you can with the stock cooler. But I don't recommend OC on stock cooler and even a $25 cooler can get you to ~4.5 which is what most people get. 5.0+ is rare.
