I once heard that a reputable Japanese manufacturer "dumped" 20,000 GSM
mobile phones into Russia because there was a "tiny" manufacturing fault
with these phones (but were too costly to rework the phones). However about
3 months later a large majority of these phones were found in the UK with UK
consumers making warranty claims on them (once they became aware of the
fault)!
