Need Help updating 460m drivers on my alienware

Hello,
I have an Alienware 17x with an 460m Nvidia graphics card. Since the drivers i downloaded from nvidia state that I need to download the drivers from Dell (who don't update drivers), can anyone suggest a workaround how I can install the latest drivers?

That's very strange,are you 100% sure you downloaded the latest "mobile" drivers from Nvidia ?

After wiping the drivers and reinstalling them from Dell, I'm still only at driver 267. The specific BF3 beta and release drivers are 285, and the most recent available from Dell, but the 460M is not supported in either. And according to Alienware/Dell, as in the first post, there is no eta from them on a Dell 460M supported driver...

The original nVidia post is old, and the fix response may be old, but the recent replies of success give hope of a workaround in the face of no official support weather he’s gaming or not. Editing the driver files myself is my last ditch effort before I just hang up my BF3 weapons till the new drivers are released.
