Hi, just having a problem with a machine we have, its a HP COMPAQ desktop machine, 1gb ddr2, pentium d, built in graphics.

Having an issue where the video output it fuzzy all the time, you cannot read whats on the monitor. I have tried several monitors etc etc so its def a prob with the hardware.

is it likely to be the onboard graphics that is faulty? or could it be the mobo ?

More about : compaq desktop fuzzy screen

most likely your using the old 15 pin vga(d-sub) cable. and its loose somewhere. maybe bad. try another.
a bad monitor or graphics processor normally makes more bizarre glitches.

i have tried a new cable/monitor with the same result, a fuzzy screen. I have tried a dedicated gfx card and the it displays normally. Must be faulty onboard graphics processor
