Hello everyone this is my first post on Tom's Hardware. All I was wondering about is this PSU by OCZ. Anybody know anything about it as i've seen it on two sites but have not seen any reviews or seen any info on it. http://www.ebuyer.com/363095-ocz-500w-corexstream-psu-ocz-cxs500w-uk This is it on Ebuyer.
http://www.dabs.com/products/ocz-technology-500w-corexstream-series-power-supply-8174.html?q=Corexstream&src=16 This is it on Dabs.
It is very cheap for a OCZ psu so could be a bargain or a load of S***

i dont think this is any bargain for a ocz 500w but it is quite cheap but i would check other sites like amazon to make sure the price is correct and the site isnt phishing. if not i would check other companies and see if they have anything better because 500w isnt enough to have a gtx 470++ also make suure 500w is enough

Both Ebuyer and Dabs are trustworthy sites, so if they have them listed for sale then if you buy one you will get an OCZ PSU. But as I've never heard of, nor can find no evidence for a CoreXStream series I'm doubtful that's what you'll get.

I suppose it could be a really old product as I've seen Ebuyer come up with some other really old products before now in the recent past.

TBH I'd steer clear of them because at that price I think they are more likely to be junk.

Yeah so what other PSU's do you recommend because these are the ones i'm looking at.

This is the build. Nvidia GTX 550ti reference card by Nvidia. 1tb SATA hard drive. Intel Core i5 2400.

If the Antec Earthwatts EA-500D really is £30 and you are looking for a bargain then that is probably the best you will find. It doesn't come with a power cord, so you will need to already have one to reuse.

The OCZ StealthXStream II 500W would be my next choice (out of those 4).
Cheaper here (£35 - although delivery is £4.75):

XFX Pro 450W Core Edition 80Plus Bronze £37

I would discount the Cooler Master one. And I wouldn't buy the Corsair CX500 V2 at that price.

The OCZ CoreXStream Series looks to be a new value series (i.e. value option for home users and upgraders on a budget, according to OCZ's marketing info) that was just introduced (March 21, 2012) to the market by OCZ.

Its recentness explains why there are no reputable product reviews yet.
